What we built

One hub for the whole event, start to finish

Vine Ventures helps wine and spirits distributors connect their products with their customers by running promotional events. Dozen built them Elevate, a custom web application that recreates their business processes faithfully but moves every activity into one centralized hub: scheduling promotions, managing accounts, surveying staff, and every other part of planning an event.

They had outgrown the spreadsheet

The process worked. The tools were the limit.

Vine Ventures had already filled a real gap in their industry by making event planning simple and professional. By the time they partnered with us, they were ready to take those processes out of spreadsheets and into the web, and they wanted to be sure their tools could keep up with their growth.

A brand and a product, designed together

A full branding overhaul, carried into the app.

While we were developing Elevate, we also partnered with Vine Ventures on a full branding overhaul: a curated set of logos, fonts, and colors, and a simple but strong wordmark. The updated brand uses a simple palette and distinct imagery to help Vine Ventures stand out in their field. That brand carried straight into Elevate’s design, where a clean, uncluttered layout makes the app’s many data points intuitive to manage.

The tech

Frameworks they can keep building on

Vine Ventures meant Elevate to be a tool that helps them grow and expand, so we chose technologies that would support that growth. We used Vue.js on the front end and Laravel on the back end: both are widely adopted and well supported, which leaves Vine Ventures free to add to the platform as their needs evolve.

The results

Adopted ahead of schedule

Elevate made an impact right away. Adoption was seamless enough that the team moved their full workload onto the platform ahead of schedule. Running a custom development project from start to finish also gave Vine Ventures experience they are now putting to use onboarding new team members and widening the scope of the project. We continue to partner with them to make sure Elevate grows with the business.
